Hybrid (FUE + FUT)
It is the combination of the two techniques: FUT + FUE.
The techniques are used simultaneously in the same hair transplant session. First a scalp segment is removed from the donor region for harvesting the follicular units (FUT technique). After suturing the edges of the skin where the tape was removed, the hair is scraped 2 cm up and 2 cm down the suture to be collected unitarily with the aid of microapparatus plus follicular units (technique FUE). Once prepared in stereoscopic microscopes, they will be transplanted into the bald area. It is performed with local anesthesia and intravenous sedation. It can be done in 1 or 2 days.
Advantages: greater number of grafts in a single session.
Disadvantages: It is the most invasive of all, difficulty in dissection of the grafts, long surgical time, linear scar (smile) on the back of the scalp, pain and swelling in the postoperative period are frequent.
